February 11, 2025. Turns Out, I'm Never Alone.
If you’ve ever been called weird, crazy, or even a mad person, know that you’re not the only one who’s ever felt that way. I understand what it means to feel different in a world that often celebrates sameness. This post is for anyone who’s ever felt misunderstood or labeled simply for seeing the world in their own unique way.
Since I was a child, my mind has always been a place of endless curiosity. While other kids played the usual games, I would dive deep into my own imaginative worlds. I remember visiting an arcade at the mall with my parents, where a dinosaur game sparked my imagination so much that I created my very own mini version of a prehistoric adventure. It wasn’t just play; it was a doorway into a realm where I learned to control my dreams. Every night, I’d count to ten and let my thoughts carry me away on vivid adventures, almost like watching my own movie. When it was time to return, I’d simply say, "Time to wake up," and I’d be back to reality. For those who experience life in a similar way, please know that you are not alone.
Over the past few months of my startup journey, I’ve been called "weird" more often than I can remember in my entire life. As a solo founder, I sometimes felt like I was the only one who truly believed in the vision of what I could become. There were moments when I felt sad and disheartened, questioning if my path was too lonely or too challenging. But deep down, I understood that feeling different was exactly what this path was meant to be. It is in the face of doubt and isolation that real visionaries are forged.
Then, something remarkable happened. I met a group of people who were genuinely excited and interested in what I was working on. These were real people, individuals willing to listen, to engage, and to share in my excitement. Their support went beyond my expectations and sparked a flame within me that burned even brighter. It was a powerful reminder that while my journey might feel solitary at times, there are those out there who share my passion and are ready to join me on this adventure.
In this journey, I’ve also had to overcome practical challenges. One of those has been a shortage of help when it comes to the day-to-day tasks of building a startup. To address this, I’ve found creative solutions, like delegating some of my work to a locally trained AI program. With these smart tools handling many of the time-consuming tasks, I’ve been able to focus on the bigger picture. By using these resources across multiple laptops, I can streamline my workflow and make even more progress than I imagined possible.
For a long time, I thought that being different meant being alone. I found comfort in quiet moments and in the solitude of my own thoughts, and I worried that my unusual way of thinking would always set me apart. But as I’ve grown, I’ve learned that our unique perspectives are exactly what the world needs. We live in a time where creativity and intelligence are recognized as the keys to progress. Many of the greatest minds in history were once labeled "weird" because they saw the world in their own special way. From the scientists who unlocked the secrets of the atom to the innovators who made space travel a reality, it is clear that the traits we sometimes dismiss as odd are often the very things that change the world.
So, if you’ve ever felt isolated or discouraged by the opinions of others, remember this: your uniqueness is your strength. The very qualities that make you stand out are the ones that can drive innovation and spark change. Embrace your differences, nurture your curiosity, and share your ideas, no matter how unconventional they might seem. Being different is not a weakness, but a powerful gift.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story. I hope that if you’ve ever felt alone or out of place, these words serve as a reminder that there is a community of like-minded souls out there. Together, by daring to be ourselves, we can transform the world in ways we never thought possible. Turns out, in our shared strangeness, we’re never truly alone.
