December 23, 2024. Solo Flight
Hi!Â
Its been ten days since my last brain dump and I have some updates to share. You know how they say the journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step? Well my journey started with too much coffee and a wild idea back on October 12 2024. That was the day I decided to stop just dreaming and start doing something that might actually matter.
Fast forward through countless sleepless nights on December 2 was when Abdi and Brothers Company became more than just another idea in my overcaffeinated brain. We got our official Business Identification Number from the Ministry of Investment and launched our slice of the internet because apparently thats what legitimate companies do right?
Now its December 23 and honestly Im still trying to wrap my head around how much has happened. Remember that physics engineering student who was questioning everything? Yeah he somehow taught himself web development and built a working prototype. Were talking 102000 characters and 3916 lines of code of pure determination and maybe a little insanity. To some tech veterans this might sound like child's play but for someone who started this journey with nothing but questions and dreams its kind of wonderful.
Heres the thing though. Right now Im running this show solo and lets be real its both amazing and terrifying. Its like being the captain pilot and maintenance crew of a spacecraft youre building while flying it. Ive been searching for the right minds to join this mission. You know the type of people who get excited about revolutionizing systems and dont think youre completely crazy when you talk about reshaping how humanity should works.
I started with my friends thinking hey maybe we could be the next great startup story. But turns out not everyone is ready for the kind of commitment that comes with building something from scratch. The late nights the constant problem-solving the moments where you question everything including your coffee consumption those arent for everyone. And thats okay.
One of my engineering mentors dropped some wisdom that really stuck with me. He said think like special forces like Navy SEALs. In special forces you dont just do the job you execute it with precision and purpose. Every mission, every task is treated like its mission-critical because it is. Theres no participation trophy in changing the world.
This is exactly the mindset Im looking for in future team members. Not just people who can code or design or market but people who approach every challenge like its their personal mission to solve it. The kind of people who see impossible as just another problem waiting for a solution.
But heres the real talk. Before I can build this dream team I need to prove Im worthy of leading it. Its not enough to have big ideas. I need to show I can navigate the storms handle the failures and keep pushing forward when everything seems impossible. Im learning that true leadership isnt about having all the answers its about being willing to find them no matter what it takes. All while maintaining ethics and understanding that we're all human after all.
So for now Im embracing this solo journey. Every line of code every problem solved every small victory is teaching me something valuable. Maybe the right teammates are out there right now on their own journeys building their own skills questioning their own limits. When our paths cross well know because well share that same crazy belief that we can actually make a dent in this world.
Until then Im going to keep building keep learning and keep believing that sometimes the biggest dreams start with one person who just wont quit. Because in a world thats changing faster than ever we need people who arent afraid to imagine and build what comes next.
Heres to the future weve yet to create and the team thats yet to assemble. The mission is just beginning and trust me its going to be one hell of a ride.
