December 7, 2024. Muhammad Abdi Fadhillah.

Hey there, I’m Abdi!

I thought for my first post here, why not talk about me? I mean, if you’re going to explore this site, it’s only fair that you get to know the person behind it—at least a little. But let me say this upfront: what I write here is just a small snapshot. A specific number of words can’t define the full concept of who I am as a human being. That’s the beauty (and frustration) of being human, we’re all way more complex than a single story can ever capture.

I like to describe myself as a curious wanderer, someone who’s constantly asking questions, chasing ideas, and figuring things out. Life, to me, is one big puzzle where the pieces aren’t always obvious, but the thrill is in trying to make them fit. I’m a final-year student, but if I’m being honest, what really excites me is everything beyond the classroom. It’s the boundless world of challenges, opportunities, and the endless potential of what’s yet to be discovered.

Now, I’ll admit, sometimes my way of delivering ideas can be a little chaotic. Thoughts swirl around in my head, and getting them out exactly how I feel them? Not always easy. But I guess that’s part of the charm, right? This post is my way of saying, “Hey, this is me,” even if it’s not perfect.

I’ve always been fascinated by the “why” and “how” of things. Why does this work? How can it work better? And perhaps my favorite: Why not try something different? This curiosity is what drives me, and it’s why I never stop learning. I firmly believe in the idea of being a global citizen, someone who sees the world as a shared canvas. While I value the culture and experiences that have shaped me, my focus is on what unites us as people: the drive to create, improve, and build something meaningful.

For me, it’s not about where you come from or what’s already been done; it’s about where we’re headed and what’s still possible. The future is this incredible blank slate, and I want to be part of writing its story, not just for myself, but for everyone who dares to dream big.

I’ve lived a few years on this planet and crossed paths with countless people. Each of them has their own side of the story about me, some might align with what I share and will share, and some might not. That’s okay. I don’t expect you to blindly trust everything I write; I’m just sharing my side of the story. Take it or leave it, I’m good either way.

Now, I’d be lying if I said I’ve got it all figured out.

I don’t. In fact, one of my biggest flaws is that I can sometimes get too caught up in my own ideas. I’ll see a grand vision in my head, and instead of taking a breath and building it piece by piece, I’ll try to sprint toward the finish line. This has led to mistakes, plenty of them. But here’s the thing: every failure is a lesson. And every lesson is a step forward.

Another thing I struggle with is patience. I want results yesterday, and I’ve learned the hard way that real progress takes time. Whether it’s building a business, mastering a skill, or even just understanding myself better, I’m learning to slow down, appreciate the process, and trust that every small step matters.

I’ve also had to confront self-doubt. Starting a business, pursuing big dreams, or even just putting myself out there, it’s scary. There are moments when I question whether I’m good enough or smart enough or capable enough to make it all happen. But in those moments, I remind myself: I don’t have to be perfect. I just have to keep going.

Why Share My Flaws? you might ask. I’m sharing these parts of myself because I want you to know that I’m human, just like you. I have strengths, yes, but I also have weaknesses. And those weaknesses don’t define me, they shape me. They push me to grow, to adapt, and to become better. If you’re reading this far, I hope it reminds you that it’s okay to stumble. It’s okay to not have all the answers. What matters is that you keep moving forward, flaws and all.

Outside of work, I’m just someone who loves to explore and imagine. I can get lost in a history book for hours, fascinated by how the world works and how it’s evolved. I play strategy games where I can build cities, terraform planets, or become an intergalactic emperor. (Okay, maybe that last one’s a bit much, but it’s fun to dream, right?) These hobbies remind me that every great system, whether it’s in a game or real life, starts with a single, deliberate action.

If there’s one thing I want to leave you with, it’s this: the future is wide open. It’s full of challenges, yes, but it’s also full of opportunities. I believe we all have the power to create something amazing, not because we’re perfect, but because we’re willing to try. I’m rooting for myself, but more importantly, I’m rooting for you too. If you’re praying for my luck, know that I’m praying for yours right back.

Here’s to embracing the messiness of life, daring to dream, and building a better future 👍🏻
